A clear route through a technical requirement.
Not every enquiry begins with a finished specification. The process below shows how information can be developed into a workable scope.
Initial requirement
Share the component, tool or production issue and the information currently available. A drawing, model, sample, photograph or existing tool record may help establish the next useful question.
Technical definition
Material, equipment, interfaces, volumes, critical features and expected duty are reviewed. Missing information is identified before a route is presented as settled.
Scope & quotation
The proposed work, assumptions, exclusions, review points and commercial basis are set out in writing. Timing is discussed against the actual route rather than promised from a generic lead-time table.
Design & manufacture
Approved information guides design, machining, bought-out elements, fitting and any partner work. Appropriate checkpoints keep decisions visible while changes are still manageable.
Handover & support
Available tool records, care points and agreed acceptance information are brought together. Repair, spares or controlled modification can then begin from a clearer baseline.
