Capabilities / full tooling life
From first definition to the next production run.
Design, manufacture, machining, EDM and practical support for new and existing tooling.
01 / Capability
Tool design & development
From CAD/CAM and design-for-manufacture review through prototype and low-volume tooling, we develop the tool around the component, material, production equipment and maintenance priorities. Existing models, drawings or samples can form the starting point once their suitability has been reviewed.
- Mould and die architecture
- CAD/CAM development
- Design-for-manufacture review
- Prototype and low-volume tooling
02 / Capability
CNC precision machining
Milling and turning routes are selected around the geometry, material, datum strategy and finishing requirement. Work can support complete tooling assemblies, replacement inserts, punches, cores, cavities, fixture details and one-off precision components.
- Tool-steel and aluminium machining
- Complex inserts and plates
- Working details and spares
- Measured or drawing-led manufacture
03 / Capability
Wire EDM & spark erosion
Wire EDM and spark erosion provide controlled access to hardened materials, internal forms and fine working details that may not suit conventional cutting alone. The process route is considered alongside grinding, polishing and final fit rather than treated as an isolated operation.
- Profile cutting in hardened steel
- Internal corners and detailed forms
- Electrode-led cavity work
- Integration with final fitting
04 / Capability
Repair, refurbishment & modification
Existing moulds, dies and fixtures can be assessed for wear, damage, production changes or serviceability. The right response may be a local repair, a replacement working detail, a controlled modification or a broader refurbishment; it is defined only after the available evidence is reviewed.
- Condition assessment
- Replacement punches and inserts
- Controlled tool modifications
- Strip-down and refurbishment planning
05 / Capability
Tooling sourcing & supply coordination
Where a requirement is better served through an appropriate manufacturing partner, we can help define and coordinate the supply route. The commercial and technical scope still needs clear documentation, review points and agreed acceptance information.
- Specification support
- Partner-manufactured tooling
- Drawing and data coordination
- Handover information planning
