Tooling shaped by the process around it.

Established 2025

Established in 2025, Vanta Tools is a Sheffield-based tooling business focused on the master tools that make repeat production possible. We work across plastic mould tooling, metal-forming dies, casting and foundry equipment, jigs, fixtures, gauges and replacement components. Our role can begin with a new component concept, an existing drawing or a production tool that needs careful attention.

Good tooling is not simply a block of machined metal. It is a working system shaped by the material, component geometry, production equipment, handling method and maintenance plan around it. We approach each enquiry by understanding those practical conditions first. That creates a clearer route through design, manufacture, validation, supply and ongoing support, without forcing every job into the same specification.

That approach is intended for production engineers, maintenance teams, technical buyers and owner-managed manufacturers who need a useful answer rather than a generic catalogue response. Some enquiries begin with a defined tool specification; others begin with a failed insert, an awkward part feature or a production target that has not yet been translated into tooling requirements. In either case, we organise the information, expose assumptions and identify the decisions needed before work advances.

Across our team, we bring together decades of combined practical industry experience. That experience informs the questions we ask, the risks we identify and the way we communicate throughout a project. Customers deal with a responsive team that can discuss technical requirements in plain terms and keep commercial priorities in view alongside the engineering detail.

Our scope covers new tooling, prototypes and development work, CNC machining, wire EDM, spark erosion, refurbishment, modification and replacement working parts. Where a requirement is better served through an appropriate manufacturing partner, we can also coordinate the supply route while keeping the specification and communication focused. The aim is always the same: tooling that is considered around the real process it must support.

Clear communication is part of that work. We aim to distinguish confirmed information from assumptions, explain where customer input or approval is needed and keep a usable record of the agreed scope. This helps technical and commercial decisions stay connected, particularly when an existing tool has limited documentation or a proposed component change affects more than one working detail.

As Vanta Tools develops, our focus remains deliberately practical—build strong working relationships, document requirements carefully and support customers beyond the first delivery. We do not make assumptions about a tool from a photograph or part name alone. Drawings, samples, material data and machine information help us define the right route before a quotation or manufacturing commitment is made.

The working standard

Evidence before assumption.

  1. 01

    Understand the duty

Component geometry, material, equipment and expected use set the practical boundaries.

  2. 02

    Define the route

We establish what must be designed, manufactured, sourced, repaired or verified.

  3. 03

    Keep it serviceable

Maintenance access and replaceable working details are considered where they add value.
